This yummy and refreshing berry cocktail is perfect for summer entertaining or sipping on the patio after a long day of work in the garden. Garnish with freshly picked mint from your garden for a personalized touch.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 4 – 6 Serving(s)
  • 1 pint fresh raspberries
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup crushed ice cubes
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda
  • mint for garnish

Preparation

In a small saucepan over low to medium heat, combine raspberries, strawberries, water and granulated sugar. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar dissolves and berries soften. Press the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer and discard the pulp and seeds. Let cool and add rum.

Pour the mixture evenly over crushed ice in serving glasses. Top with lemon-lime soda and garnish with fresh mint.
