For More Information

Many farmers’ markets are now online with a website and/or Facebook page. To improve your market experience, follow them and keep up to date with their special events and other information.

In Season at the Winter Markets

The variety of foods at our winter markets can surprise new shoppers and veterans alike, for each year is different and growers are always coming up with something new. The only way to know for sure what you’ll find is to attend as regularly as you can.

The growers at winter farmers’ markets have planned ahead for year-round sales. Supplies of vegetable storage crops are strongest at the beginning of the new year; they will dwindle through the cold months but at the same time fresh items from hoophouses might increase. And there is much more available than fresh produce to check off your grocery list. Local foods abound, year-round!
