Sautéed Peppers

How can something so tasty be so simple you ask? These peppers are here to prove tasty doesn't have to be difficult or involve tons of ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 6 colored peppers
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

In a deep frying pan sauté sliced peppers and onions in olive oil and water. Add all spices and cook until soft (up to an hour on low heat), stirring occasionally. Place atop grilled or baked sausages on Italian bread or roll. Mangia!
